And There Was Light

A hasty visit to Chikmaglur during Monsoons yielded a few pictures and a travelogue; which recently got published (text by wife). Here is my favorite from the trip:
And There Was Light

Also, just came back from a 9 day trip to Ladakh – rather dragged my body back – the soul continues to linger somewhere in the Himalayas.

  • Awesome pixs boss !!! I can see it clearly you had a real blast of a trip ...

WOW- this is awesome!! Have been waiting for weeks to get your first post on Leh!! When can we expect Day2-Day9
  • Hi deepak, Wow that was the nice one on Chikmaglur, stored those pdf's. By the way I'm looking for your ladakh travelogue ;) pls share it if you find time..
  • Hi deepak, this is rajesh (former mvp from chennai) have a few queries using a Canon S2 Is. when trying to get too close to a flower and try to focus it never focuses and gives a sharp preview but the items that are at the back seems to get the focus and it is impossible to take close up of flowers. what am i doing wrong. can you guide how to get close ups of flowers especially in the rains using a canon S2 IS.
  • Hi Rajesh, having never used a Canon S2 IS I cannot say for sure, but I have a feeling that you might be getting too close to the flowers. Each lens has a minimum focussing distance and if you cross that the lens will be unable to focus on your subject. Try standing a little farther, zoom in as much as your camera's zoom will allow and click.
